Both the school and its founding principal, Debbie Almontaser, have endured a vicious anti-Arab and anti-Musllim smear campaign , which resulted in Ms. Almontaser’s forced resignation. Read more…

Also, contact the Department of Education, Chancellor of Schools Joel Klein (jklein@schools.nyc.gov), New Visions (a partner of the Department of Education in this project), and Robert L. Hughes (President of New Visions at rhughes@newvisions.org). Let them know that Debbie Almontaser needs to be fairly considered for the position of principal at KGIA, and that they must stop caving in to anti-Arab & anti-Muslim bigotry and hatred.
